The Meandarra State School is expecting a welcome boost thanks to the support of Dalby-based BMO Accountants.
Meandarra Show Committee President Tod Devenish said BMO’s sponsorship of the show and the school over many years had been very much appreciated.
“BMO’s support has helped us make so many improvements to the school grounds and facilities. In the early years it helped us turf a play area and put up shade structures and in more recent times, it’s allowed us to add new technology to the school.
“We now have one of the best resourced local schools in the state and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of companies like BMO,” Mr Devenish said.
Not only will BMO be providing a financial donation of $2000, but the team is supporting the show with a bus load of staff and their families travelling out to the event.
One eager staff member, Amelia McDonald, has even agreed to parachute out of a plane to help support the show and to celebrate her 18th birthday.
BMO Partner Peter McKinnon said the firm had a strong affinity with rural clients.
“When we work with clients, we get to know them and their families. With so many rural-based clients we wanted to try and give something back that would really help support them and their children’s futures.
“By giving towards the show we know we are helping keep alive a much-loved social event for the region while providing tangible support to the education of local children.”
BMO is one of the region’s leading accounting, business services and financial planning firms.
“We don’t just crunch the numbers, we really work in partnership with our clients to help them achieve their business goals and plan for a wealthy future,” Mr McKinnon said.
