Communications Officer WANTED

We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join the team.

The successful applicant will report to the Communications Manager and possess:

Experience in marketing or public relations with demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of comms-marketing strategy, copywriting and project management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
A strong work ethic and time management skills.
Business or journalism/communications degree (desirable).
Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new software.
Desktop publishing skills (desirable).

Your role will involve:

Developing marketing strategy – developing creative solutions within budget constraints. Meeting with clients to gather information, develop relationships and present ideas.
Implement strategy ideas.
Copywriting for various mediums including media releases, websites, advertising copy and grant submissions.
Updating websites.
Creating powerpoint and other visuals.
Project manage communications projects including events, website development, social media / web marketing programs, graphic design and /or undertake some desktop publishing and logo development and branding.

This position is on a full time basis, however part time hours may be negotiated depending on the applicant’s experience and requirements. Salary package will be negotiated based on applicant’s skills and experience.
