Dalby’s the hub for conferences

2 August 2012

The launch of Dalby’s positioning statement as the “Capital of the Surat Basin” is further cementing this region as the centre for all the action. After all, Dalby is at the crossroads of four major highways, and when Triple J chose Dalby as the location for its “One Night Stand” concert, it became obvious that this community is really making it onto the national radar.

In agriculture, mining, construction, and manufacturing, we are seeing more and more businesses recognising Dalby as a great central meeting point between the coast and ‘the west’. For example, organisations with head offices in Brisbane and people in the field at Roma, find that Dalby is the right size and location for company gatherings.

I’d encourage other local businesses to think about how together as a community, we can really make the most of our ideal location and this growing business trade.

About four years ago the Partners at BMO Accountants saw the need for professional and private places to host business meetings, conferences, seminars, and training, in.

They transformed what had been a ten-pin bowling alley into a modern business centre. They kept the huge off-street car park and added contemporary interior design, the latest data projectors and smart boards, and set about making good connections with a range of excellent local caterers.

Now we have a centre that we have even been told is “better than anything you can find in Sydney”. The Centre can host small groups of 2 or 3, board meetings of up to 20, and large events for up to 100. We can configure the rooms and tailor the catering to suit your needs, from tea and coffee to sit-down meals.

If you’ve never had a chance to look inside, it’s time to satisfy your curiosity. Feel free to contact me for more information or to book a tour, lizzyk@bmo.com.au.
