Dalby Rugby Union Under 12s are a step closer to their dream of travelling to Sydney to further their game skills thanks to a $500 donation from the employees at BMO Accountants.
The donation was part of a BMO free dress day where employees pay for the privilege of coming in their favourite “footy attire” by making a donation to the cause.
Junior Rugby Union trip coordinator Mark Bailey was very grateful for the contribution saying it would help families pay for the trip which aims to encourage father-son bonding.
The trip has become an annual tradition for the Under 12 side.
“It’s a great lifetime experience for our boys. Many of these children have never travelled interstate before,” Mr Bailey said.
The boys will play three organised matches against Mossman, Parramatta and Wollongong teams and undertake other activities to promote positive life experiences.
Last month BMO’s employees made donations to the Red Cross.
