BMO Accountants has been recognised as a leading local business, taking out two awards at the prestigious Dalby Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2007 Business Excellence Awards in October.
BMO was awarded the top prize for both the Professional Services Division and overall Business and Professional Services Category, jointly awarded with another local accounting firm WHK LRK-Walkers.
BMO Partners Peter McKinnon, Kelvin Tyler and Adrian Rasmussen, attributed BMO’s success to a strong customer service philosophy, a positive employee culture, a proactive approach to training, and keeping up-to-date with technology and software systems.
According to Mr McKinnon, the company’s strength was due to the way it develops meaningful relationships with clients.
“Ultimately, it’s not just about number-crunching, it’s about really getting to know our clients, understanding their business needs and doing whatever we can to help them achieve their goals.”
He said over the years, BMO had developed a reputation as a friendly, professional and innovative organisation.
“It’s an old motto but a good one - always under-promise and over-deliver. We aim to provide the best possible service with creative, but highly ethical, business solutions.
“We are good at what we do, but at the same time we know how important it is to remember the simple things like offering a cup of coffee, being polite and courteous, and always calling back the same day.”
At the core of BMO’s success, Mr McKinnon said, was the firm’s dedicated team of 32 accounting, financial planning and administration staff.
