After completing part-time work experience at BMO earlier in 2017, Assistant Accountant Patrick (PJ) McVeigh has joined BMO on a permanent basis. Currently part-time while he completes the final subjects of his Bachelor of Commerce degree at UQ, PJ will begin full-time as an Accountant in 2018.
Raised on a farming property near Dalby, PJ completed his high-schooling at Marist College Ashgrove where he thrived at math and economics. He then moved onto his tertiary studies while also working on a casual basis with a Brisbane based financial services firm. He’s enjoying being back on the Western Downs and putting his studies into practice at BMO, particularly getting involved with primary production clients. He is enjoying being at BMO and finds the team to be friendly, approachable and willing to mentor him as he embarks on a career in accounting.
A former junior Wheatmen rugby union player, PJ is looking forward to getting back in the blue and gold next season. Outside of work, he also enjoys helping out on the family farm, socialising with friends and playing touch football.
